Dismantling the existing broken valve pit cover and re-construct of brick masonry wall pit size 105cm x 105cm x 105cm internal dimension suitable for 80/100/150 mm dia pipe including excavation and earth work and disposal of soil, plastering internally and flush pointing to brick surface externally as the work proceeds complete with 3.15mm thick MS sheet cover angle iron frame 40x40x6mm and locking arrangement and painting with two coats of black bitumenous paint over a coat of red oxide primer complete all as specified.

Painting or varnishing work in small areas or new wood work withone coat (upto one square metre) ready mixed priming paint and 2 coat of superior quality ready mixed paint or varnish including supply of all materials. Labour tools & plants etc required for proper completion of the work paint to be used should confirm.(SI no 641+642)

Painting G.I. pipes and fittings with synthetic enamel white paint with two coats over a ready mixed priming coat, both of approved quality for new work (internal work -exposed on walls) 15 mm nominal outer dia pipes

NOTE:- FOR ALL PAINTING , WATER PROOFING ITEMS AND STRUCTURAL REPAIR ITEMS:- The following precautionary measures shall be ensured by the contractor before and during execution of the work:- (i) All the painting works and water proofing works shall be got executed through original material manufacturing company and their authorised applicators as approved by GE and contractor should submit MOU with the manufacturing company and their authorised applicator alongwith performance guarantee otherwise recovery of Rs 2000.00 per week will be made from the contractors dues from the date of commencement of work. (ii) Submission of MOU will be mandatery requirement before execution of work as the entire work shall be executed with the approved firm only. (iii) Contractor shall give guarantee from OEM of 5 years for effectiveness of painting carried out by them from the certified date of completion of work. (iv) Contractor shall deposit entire quantity of material(proprietory materials) in sealed containers required for painting works covered under subject contract in the custody of Engineer-in-Charge.
