Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of 12 kV, 630 A, 21 kA/3 sec rating, 7- way, one-side extensible outdoor type SF gas insulated Ring Main Unit (RMU) suitable for 11 kV distribution system in railway installations, conforming to relevant IEC 62271 series standards, complete in all respects with incoming and outgoing feeder arrangements. The RMU shall be of FR1- VI configuration (OLBS + 7 VCB modules) in a modular, stainless steel tank type construction, manually operated, suitable for both-side extensibility, comprising two (2) incoming Vacuum Circuit Breaker (VCB) feeders and five (5) outgoing VCB feeders, suitable for reliable switching, protection and sectionalization of 11 kV distribution network. The unit shall have a fixed type On-Load Break Switch (OLBS) - 1 No., along with seven (7) Vacuum Circuit Breakers (VCBs), each suitable for 12 kV system voltage and rated current of 630 A, with short circuit breaking capacity of 21 kA for 3 seconds, ensuring high fault withstand capability and system reliability. The RMU shall be provided with capacitive voltage indication system (CVIS) - 3 Nos. for safe phase presence indication, fault passage indicator (FPI) - 1 No. for fault detection and direction indication, and self-powered numerical protection relays with RS-485 communication port - 2 Nos. for feeder protection and remote monitoring compatibility. Each feeder shall be provided with appropriately rated Current 1 Transformers (CTs) including: •CTs 100/1 A, 2.5 VA, Class SP10 - 3 Nos. (protection class) •CTs 100/1 A, 2.5 VA, Class 1.0 - 3 Nos. (metering class) The RMU shall include front cable termination arrangement for all 7 VCB feeders, complete with right-angled insulating boots - 2 sets, hardware kit comprising bolts, nuts, washers, and necessary accessories for complete assembly, along with operating handles for VCBs and load break switch, and lifting arrangement for safe handling and installation. The SF gas compartment shall be made of stainless steel, fully sealed pressure vessel type construction, filled with SF gas at a pressure of 1.4 bar at 20°C, designed for long-term leak- proof operation. The gas tank shall have IP67 protection level, while the external enclosure shall have IP54 protection class, suitable for outdoor installation under harsh environmental conditions. The busbar system inside the RMU shall be made of high conductivity electrolytic grade copper, fully insulated and shielded to ensure safe operation and minimal maintenance. The design shall ensure arc fault containment, operator safety, and compliance with internal arc classification requirements. The equipment shall be designed, manufactured, type tested, and factory tested as per IEC 62271-1, IEC 62271-100, IEC 62271-200 and other relevant standards, from OEM/CPRI tested manufacturer, and shall be subject to Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) in presence of Railway authorized representative prior to dispatch. The scope includes complete supply, erection, installation, testing, commissioning, interconnection, earthing, control wiring, civil interface coordination, and all incidental works required for safe and satisfactory operation, as per direction of the Engineer-in- Charge of Railways.
