Material and labour for water prrofing treatment to Chajjas complete all as specified and directed as under:- (a) Coving or any extra plaster (over external plaster ) over chajja not to be provided. (b) The designated area i.e. over chajja and over the wall above chajja for a height of 900 mm and upto 600 mm on either side of chajja width shall be moist by sprinkling water . ( c) Apply FOSROC Brushband Roofguard minimum 3 layers or euivalent product of Asian paints/MC Bauchemre /CIPY/SIKA/Pidilite Dr Fixit /Tarmax/STP/Berger as per manufacturer instructions.

(i) Application of Two component acrylic modified cementitious coating. (a) The surfaces to be applied shall be completely dry and free from containments such as dirt, dust, oil surface treatments and old coatings. Concrete substrates must be mechanically prepared using abrasive blast cleaning or milling to remove cement litance, existing coatings and achieve a gripping profile that is clean, dry and free from litanceand any other form of surface contamination. the installation instructions in manufacturer's published literature should be strictly compiled with, including but not limited to the following:- (b) Chipping out any visible cracks in ' V- Groove' pattern as applicable. Special attention on this part cleaning of cracks and then filling those cracks with SIKA latex SBR 100 putyy/ Dr Fixit 302 SBR latex/ perma latex SBR / FOSROC Nitibond SBR latex/ Asian Paints latex as required. Final cleaning of surface with power grinder, wire brush, hair brush and vaccum pressure if required. (c) Dampen all surfaces immediately ahead of application of Acrylic modified cemetitious coating of Sika Top seal - 107/brush Bond FOSROC/ Dr Fixit/ STP/ CICO. (d) While the surface is still damp from saturation (SSD), apply one coat of acrylic modified cementitious coating of Sika Top seal- 107/ Brush bond FOSROC/ Dr fixit / STP/ CICO of viscosity as per manufacturer's instructions. (e) Apply glass fabric sheet of Sika Fab 1 / FOSROC/ Dr Fixit/ STP while the first coat is wet. (f) Once touch dry apply second coat of Acrylic modified cementitious coating of Sika Top Seal- 107/ Brush bond FOSROC/ Dr FiXit/ STP/ CICO of viscosity as per manufacturer's instructions on the entire area. (g) Second coat shall be applied after 6-8 hrs of application of previous coat and in the direction right angle to the previous coat. (h) The waterproofing coating should be taken to a height minimu 300mm above the finished floor level on the vertical surface. (j) It is essential to cure acrylic modified cementitious coating immediately after application ( minimum 6-8 hrs drying) for a minimum of 3 to 54 days to ensure full cement hydration and to minimize cracking.
